A Proud History on Blackpool’s Seafront
From 2018 to 2025, the property now known as Hotel Santa Maria was operated as part of the well-known Daish’s Holidays Group, welcoming thousands of guests to its prime seafront location on Blackpool’s North Promenade. During this time, the hotel became a favourite base for coach holidays and traditional seaside breaks, earning a reputation for friendly service, hearty meals, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The new ownership builds on this legacy, preserving the spirit of great British hospitality while introducing a fresh, modern approach designed for today’s independent travellers.
Before joining the Daish’s Group, the hotel was proudly run for many years as the Manhattan Hotel by Mary and Brian Holliday, whose dedication and personal touch made it a home-from-home for generations of visitors. Their commitment to guest satisfaction, loyal team of staff, and genuine care for every customer created countless happy memories and lasting friendships. The Hotel Santa Maria continues that tradition — combining the charm and warmth of its past with a renewed focus on comfort, service, and memorable stays on Blackpool’s famous seafront.
In late November 2025, we proudly acquired the hotel with a clear vision: to restore, refresh and reimagine this much-loved Blackpool seafront property for today’s guests while preserving its warm, traditional seaside charm.
Since then, we’ve been busy investing throughout the building. Bedrooms have been upgraded with new décor, improved comfort features and thoughtful touches designed to make every stay relaxing and welcoming. Public areas are being carefully refreshed, combining a brighter, more contemporary feel with the character and nostalgia that make a classic coastal hotel so special.
Our objective is simple — to offer great value, genuine hospitality and consistently comfortable stays for families, couples, coach groups and independent travellers alike. Alongside the physical improvements, we’ve introduced faster Wi-Fi, smoother digital check-in systems and a more direct booking experience, ensuring guests enjoy both modern convenience and friendly, personal service.
